ROCROI
Of Italian design, built in 1555 under the reign of Henri II to face the neighboring fortress of Charlemont that was Givet, Rocroi was the scene of a glorious and legendary Battle, on May 19, 1643, won by the Grand Condé. Vauban's three passages at the end of the 17th century did not fundamentally change it.
SEDAN
